After the path-breaking, Mynaa, Prabhu Solomon is now gearing up with his new film Kumki, an intense love story of an elephant trainer.
It is the launch pad of Vikram Prabhu, grandson of the legendary Sivaji Ganesan and son of actor Prabhu.
Kumki is produced by Lingusamy under his Thirrupathi Brothers banner and has music by D Imman. Prabhu Solomon- D Imman combination worked big time in Mynaa. Once again the combo is coming out with six songs. They have used tribal instruments for the music of the film.
The Malayalee girl Lakshmi is debuting in Tamil with Kumki. A very romantic song between Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi was picturised under the famous Jog falls in Karnataka. Now the climax of the movie is being canned.
Vikram Prabhu has given a convincing performance as Boman, especially his understanding with the elephant is incredible. Being son of Prabhu Ganesan and grandson of Sivaji Ganesan there were high expectations on Vikram Prabhu. And the actor has excelled with his performance in the debutant venture itself.
After Sundarapandian, Kumki is the second film of Lakshmi Menon and the actress has once again proved her mettle through Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki.
Natioanal Award winner Thambi Ramaiah has surpassed with his timing and is treat to watch more than just a supporting cast.
Beyond these, the other cast and especially the elephant needs a special mention for brilliant performance.
Technical Analysis:
Prabhu Solomon has come out with excellent direction and screenplay for Kumki. The director has once again recorded a hit with Kumki, after Myna.
Coming to the cinematography, Kumki has got one of the finest camera works from Sukumar. Songs composed by D. Imman are already topping charts and they look more convincing on screen with Sukumar’s photography. Also editor LVK Doss deserves a special mention for crisp editing.
Analysis:
Kumki is entirely set in natural backdrop and Sukumar’s excellent photography brought the essence of nature, which made the film much pleasant and a visual feast to watch.
Prabhu Solomon should be praised for bringing out wonderful performances by newbie Vikram prabhu, Lakshmi Menon, Thambi Ramaiah, Ashwin Raja and elephant, which are truly enjoyable and laugh riot. After Myna the combo of director Prabhu Solomon and music composer D. Imman has resulted in one more hit Kumki.
Kumki is one more visual excellence and amusing production by N. Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers along with Studio Greens. But climax could have ended with a positive note.
Haihoi Verdict : Totally Kumki is Another Best Film From Prabhu Solomon. Don't Miss The Visual Excellence..
