Story

Anal Murugan (Vikram) takes on the ‘Dadas’ who grab lands from innocent people. Pradeep Rawat is the baddie. Vikram also has a beautiful relationship with K Viswanath. Deeksha Seth, an IT girl plays the love interest of Anal Murugan.

Vikram, is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year. Vikram has come out with yet another powerful performance, this time as a super-action hero. Deeksha Seth, the leading lady is cute and attractive and also a performer. ‘Rajapattai’ has given a nice opening for her in Kollywood. She will definitely make a big round here. K Viswanath’s performance is worth mentioning.

Well for those Vikram fans, who wanted to witness their matinee idol back as ‘Mass Hero’, it’s time to rejoice. Yes, ‘Rajapattai’ is a 100% commercial entertainer, though it doesn’t overtake the actor’s previous mass movies – ‘Dhil’, ‘Dhool’ and ‘Saamy’. But Susintheeran proves that he is capable of not just making exceptional themes, but this kind of flicks as well.

Performance :

It’s out and out Vikram’s treat for his fans as he amuses them with his outstanding performance. Of course, he throws a huge surprise appearing in different get-ups, which should indeed gain him accolades. It’s a tailor-made role for Vikram. Don’t miss out the interrogation set-up between him and Pradeep Rawat.

Wow! His macho looks and his physique leaves you speechless, specifically during ‘Kidnap Drama in Market’. Deeksha Seth doesn’t carry much importance and her role is nowhere far from the usual heroine characters in the commercial cinema. Versatile K Viswanath is another showstopper as he takes over the humor quotients. His instructions to Chiyaan over capturing the heart of his sweetheart are enjoyable. Pradeep Rawat looks powerful with his role and does his part well.

Mathi’s cinematography is colorful and the hi-definition print in theatres is an additional visual attraction. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s theme song with Yogi B is the best of all tracks. The songs don’t have much to do with the film.

Much alike Susintheeran’s previous movies, the first half proceeds with light moments and the actual conflict begins post-intermission. The director needs special mention for narrating the tale with crispness at a right duration of 120mins. However, he could have avoided few portions in the first half, but that’s not a major factor.

On the whole, ‘Rajapattai’ will have a big time in box office and it’s a best treat you can afford for the yearend holiday. It’s not just for Vikram fans, but for everyone that will keep you engaged in parts from beginning till end.

Verdict : Can be watched with the whole family Entertainer....Rocks
